drinking: TEMPORARY PLEASURES

February 21, 2020 in 2020

drinking: TEMPORARY PLEASURES actively consumes and satirizes new forms of placebo and synthetic desires created for a gloomy Anthropocene. The exhibition creates chaotic meta-narratives exploring self-care in the context of advertisements, propaganda, and pleasure. It oscillates between feelings of intimacy and alienation through a series of virtual and material explorations by artists Haley Matis-Uzzo and Cleo Miao.

On view: February 1 - 21, 2020

Opening reception: Saturday, February 1, 7 - 10 PM
